Licensed Practical Nurse - Oncology - Wilkes-Barre, PA

Position Overview

We are seeking a versatile and patient-centered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join a tight-knit clinical team. Operating in a collaborative clinic environment, this role balances direct patient care with clinical operations and administrative support. The ideal candidate thrives in a team-first setting, manages an average of 18 consults per day, and is comforatble assisting across all areas of the clinic, including front desk coverage when needed.

Responsibilities

• Patient Intake & Screening: Room patients, record vital signs, complete medication reconciliations, and perform preliminary symptom/distress screenings to identify acute changes
• Lab Work & Phlebotomy: Perform venipuncture for routine lab draws, run point-of-care tests, and access/flush central lines and ports per state regulations and facility policy
• Patient Communication & Triage: Field routine phone calls, process prescription refill requests under provider guidance, and reinforce home-care and side-effect management instructions
• Clinic Operations: Manage room turnaround, sanitize exam areas, restock clinical supplies, and maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
• Administrative & Front Desk Support: Assist with operations and front desk duties as needed in a multi-functional clinic workflow

Required Qualifications

• Active LPN / LVN License in good standing
• Current CPR Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior oncology experience
• Familiarity with Aria or Cerner EHR systems

Schedule

• Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Compensation

• $23 - $29/hour (negotiable depending on experience)
