Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Valley Manor Health & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team.
For more than 50 years, Valley Manor has served the local community by providing high-quality post-acute care, short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and long-term care services. Our interdisciplinary team is committed to helping each resident achieve the highest possible level of independence, function, and quality of life.
ResponsibilitiesProvide occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
Carry out individualized treatment plans designed to improve residents’ strength, coordination, mobility, and ability to complete daily activities
Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, functional tasks, and adaptive techniques
Educate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment goals and safe techniques
Monitor and document residents’ progress accurately and timely
Report changes in resident condition or performance to the supervising Occupational Therapist
Assist with the use and training of adaptive equipment
Participate in care planning meetings and interdisciplinary team conferences
Collaborate with nursing staff, therapists, physicians, and other members of the care team
Follow facility policies and all applicable state and federal regulations

Current and active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Current NBCOT certification
Skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care experience preferred
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team
